Our Winter White Home’s details include a sophisticated white and gold terracotta with intricate scroll details. It can be used on its own or as a candleholder (there is space inside to add a tealight candle which is not included). The home is handmade in rural Bangladesh using river clay by the CORR – The Jute Works group.
CORR was started in 1973 by CARITAS/Bangladesh, the Catholic Service organization, to give rural women the option of staying home with their children and still earning supplemental income for their families. CORR (Christian Organization for Relief and Rehabilitation), like other Bangladeshi development organizations, was established at the end of the war which divided Pakistan into East (Bangladesh) and West (Pakistan) in 1971. The home measures 3 1/2 in. sq x 9 1/2 in. h.
